FBI Looking for Woman in Dark Web Related pills Scheme Involving a New Haven Doctor 1

Authorities announced Tuesday that they are looking for an accomplice they say was involved in a pill-selling scheme with a former doctor who worked at Yale-new haven hospital and allegedly imported drugs from the “dark web.””

In an indictment handed down in recent days, Dr. Jennifer F., 37, a former hospital sophomore and Fulbright scholar, was charged with 37 counts of distributing drugs outside of professional practice and not for lawful medical purposes.

Authorities also announced charges against her alleged accomplice, Jimisha McCoy, 30, of new haven.

Federal authorities, including the FBI, have launched an investigation into Farrell’s activities, alleging that she admitted to receiving packets of oxycodone and fentanyl online from an unnamed source on the so-called dark web.

The claim that she also prescribed pain pills at least 35 times in the names of at least five patients, including McCoy, whom she did not examine, using a loophole in Yale’s software that allowed her to write several fraudulent oxycodone prescriptions, according to Federal court documents.

McCoy, 30, of new haven, is now wanted by Federal authorities after an indictment was filed against her accusing her of the same crimes as Farrell.
